Joy Parris,
Co-Founder/President of Rich Girl Productions
Over the years, Ms. Parris has enjoyed
a diverse career in both fashion and entertainment. She began
her professional career working in the retail sector for Lady
Madonna Maternity. After making her mark on the beauty and
fashion world. Joy made the logical transition to the
entertainment industry. She had a long and productive stint as
a talent manager in the areas of fashion modeling, film and
television. Joy has taken her passion for the industry and
focused her sights on filmmaking. With her niece, Kimberly
Carter, Rich Girl Productions was formed in January 2005.
Making quality films that will
transcend the absurdities of life is a major part of the company's
mission. Embracing her love for the art of filmmaking.
Joy hopes to bring an innovative and fresh perspective to the
creative works appearing on the silver screen and television.
Kimberly Carter,
Co-Founder/Creative Director of Rich Girl
Productions
After receiving her Juris Doctorate
and Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern
California, Ms. Carter embarked on the predictable path of an
aspiring attorney- billable hours and more billable hours.
However, always a committed cinephile, Kim never abandoned her
desire to produce films which would inspire and influence
audiences. She wrote short stories, poetry and screenplays in
order to satisfy her need to create compelling stories that
challenge our concepts of right and wrong, love and hate, friendship
and conflict.
Jaded with the practice of law,
Kim joined forces with her aunt, Joy Parris, to start Rich Girl
Productions, a multi-media film and production company to showcase
in-house creative projects as well as to collaborate with
up-and-coming screenwriters and filmmakers to create film and
television product that will provide unique content for diverse
viewing audiences.
